Burnley manager Sean Dyche is happy to provide another chance after the midfielder was hurt in an incident outside a nightclub to Danny Drinkwater.
The Chelsea midfielder suffered a foot problem that is set to rule out him for a number of months and was pictured with injuries.
Dyche is known as a manager who values professionalism tremendously but, openly, he declined to criticise Drinkwater, stating:”[Footballers] are actually human beings, they’ve personal lives, which sometimes are not confidential, obviously. And sometimes they get in scrapes.
“He is certainly old enough and smart enough to know you do whatever you can not get in scratches, but occasionally it occurs.
“We have been large within our time here – you can’t simply talk about development if it is fantastic news, you also must work with gamers if things aren’t quite as good.
“It’s been that sort of scenario, have a chat with him and say, what happened Firstly, what was the situation that contributed into it. OK, let’s go away from this, now where to do we proceed from here. I think that is where we’re at.”
Dyche failed to reveal whether Burnley have punished Drinkwater, stating:”Only talked to himthe remainder of it is private.”
The 29-year-old created his Clarets introduction in the Carabao Cup defeat by Sunderland a month with missed the beginning of the year after being suspended out of the film in Chelsea to develop his fitness.
Dyche included:”He is a player that I had worked with before at Watford. I think I understand a bit about what he’s around, he’s had a lot occur because then of course, a great deal of good successes in his career, so that I believe we would like to get him back to this .
“This is just a bump in the situation. We would like to ensure he gets back to being completely match, playing well, the attention of the tiger that it can take to be a top player.”
Speaking on the harm sustained by Drinkwater, Dyche stated:”That bit’s not ideal. It’s part and parcel of the incident. It’s still going to be certainly a couple of months and getting in another game to catch up although it’s not too serious.
“When you take a participant in, he’s part of us. So we will use Danny and try to help him and, notably, he must make himself fit.”
