Ronnie O’Sullivan says he is not ready to retire from Snooker

Snooker legend Ronnie O’Sullivan says that he is not prepared to retire in the game simply after winning the Shanghai Masters for a third year at the weekend.
The 43-year-old made his first appearance since losing to James Cahill in the first round of the World Championship from April and that he recuperated to maintain a victory over high prize and Shaun Murphy.
World No 2 O’Sullivan is showing no signs of slowing and hopes to be competing in China”for several years to come”.
O’Sullivan wrote in an Instagram article:”Very happy to have obtained the Shanghai masters to the next time on the trot. . It’s been a trip. . With some fantastic matches to be involved in. . Good way to start my season. . Now I’m looking ahead to what is next. . Boy I love Shanghai and China what a wonderful place to visit and work. . Will soon come back for many years to come. .”
‘The Rocket’ also assured Snooker fans he is not ready to hang his cue up only however, comparing himself along with Tiger Woods because he seems to continue adding more silverware for his trophy cabinet.
He informed the official website of World Snooker:”I always just try to hang out there. It’s a little like Seve Ballesteros or Tiger Woods with the way they play golf. They are not outside of it because every now and then they can produce a bit of magic. That’s the trademark of my sport.
“I just play events once I feel like it, so I do not class myself with the men which are around. They’ve a whole great deal to achieve and a lot to prove. I don’t have anything to prove to anyone. I think it is just fine for snooker fans to watch me perform and they want me to continue for so long as I can. They do not expect me to establish myself so I have.
“For another guys like Shaun, Judd Trump and Neil Robertson they still need to try and chase the documents I have got if they want to go down as one of the greats. It’s okay doing it in a year or three or two years. You must do it over a two or three decades. I have done that.”
