As they opened their three-game run with a triumph from the Orioles, the Los Angeles Dodgers prevented a letdown place last night. Play with their game down the stretch and they have to avoid these snare stains. Baltimore aren’t a team who must offer the Dodgers much problems, but if they take them gently losses are possible.
The Dodgers got since they labeled Ty Blach out of the gate with 4 runs in the 1st inning began early last night. Blach continued 2.1 innings with 9 hits and 6 earned runs allowed. Walker Buehler was in charge of an impressive showing on the mountain for the Dodgers. He was sharp with 4 hits and no runs allowed in 7 innings. The Orioles didn’t have until the 8th on the board. Casey Sadler supplied a performance, as he had been labeled for 3 runs in 1 inning of work.
That might not matter in a 7-0 match, but a tight postseason game could have been thrown out there. The Dodgers are not the only team who have observed their relievers have punched in the mouth. Expect a good deal of bullpens to attract starters who did not make the postseason rotation out.
With the win the Dodgers advanced to 94-52 and clinched the NL West. The Astros and Yankees either dropped, so that gives a few aid in the race for homefield to the Dodgers. However, they have just one less win than the Astros and Yankees. It was a loss for the Yankees, that fell to the Tigers.
Ross Stripling has not allowed a run thus far and has two appearances since coming off the IL. We’ll see what type of effort he gives from the Orioles in Camden Yards. My only difficulty with Means is that he has not played anyone since the Yankees, and when he failed, the Yankees scored 10 earned runs in 7.1 innings against him.
Since then he has played with the Royals twice, along with the Rangers and Rays. The Rays are the postseason group in that category, and he had a poor performance against Tampa in July. Expect him to have some issues from the Dodgers. Finding the Dodgers such as the O’s at this cost against a team isn’t going to come around. I enjoy Wednesday the Dodgers to win by 2 runs or more.
